Privacy

Last updated 2 November 2026

Total Heart Sim is an educational simulator. We collect as little as we can.

What we keep

  • Your account: your email address and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), and whether you have bought access.
  • Purchases: web payments are handled by Stripe and App Store purchases by Apple. We never see or store card details. We keep the payment or transaction reference so a refund can be matched to the right account.
  • Sign-ins: a random token for each signed-in browser or device, so you stay signed in.
  • Anonymous usage totals (website and app): daily totals such as minutes spent in each mode, which rhythms were viewed and quiz results, kept separately for the website and the iPhone / iPad app so we can see how each is used. Each day's totals are keyed by a code made with a random value that is deleted the next day, so they cannot be linked to your account or across days. In the app, if you are not signed in, a random ID created on your device stands in for an account; it is never linked to you or your Apple ID. The app keeps totals on the device while offline and sends them when it next connects.

What we don't do

  • No advertising, no tracking across other sites or apps, no selling or sharing of your data.
  • No IP addresses, location, contacts or simulator content are stored.

Who processes it

Cloudflare (hosting and database), Stripe (web payments), Apple (App Store payments) and Resend (password-reset emails).

Your choices

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page or in the app (Account → Delete account). This deletes your email, password hash, sign-ins and purchase links immediately.
